TALLAHASSEE, OCTOBER 2025
Dr. Sofiia Doskich, an Associate Professor of Geodesy from Lviv Polytechnic National University, completed her month-long BridgeUSA fellowship at Florida State University. Dr. Doskich specializes in using Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) and laser aerial photography to monitor land deformation and evaluate damage from the Russian invasion. She collaborated with FSU Department of Geography and College of Engineering to maximize opportunities for joint research, stating that connecting with U.S. expertise will help “create something new, something modern” for post-war reconstruction and societal benefit.
